What wood is used in the current regular production Buck 110 knife? Is it laminated or dymonwood, or just regular wood with a finish on top?

Obeechee plywood since 1994.

Solid Macassar Ebony before that.

Both excellent and near as tough as iron.

:)

Post #2 is correct.

Here's the 110 page from the 2012 catalog:

Ah, the mythical "Macassar Ebony Dymondwood."

Where marketing conflicts with reality.

Same thing I was thinking. Who would take real Ebony wood and turn it into "dymon" wood? Ebony would be fine without any scientific treatments to it.

Didn't the "Macassar Ebony Dymondwood" tree go extinct a few years ago????

Buck must have run on to a supply of it.

LUCKY find!!!

:D
