Handle Slab Material of New 110s?

What wood is used in the current regular production Buck 110 knife? Is it laminated or dymonwood, or just regular wood with a finish on top?

Short answer- Macassar Ebony Dymondwood.

Obeechee plywood since 1994.

Solid Macassar Ebony before that.

Both excellent and near as tough as iron.

Same thing I was thinking. Who would take real Ebony wood and turn it into "dymon" wood? Ebony would be fine without any scientific treatments to it.

My guess is that they meant standard Dymondwood colored like Macassar Ebony.
