Handle slabs removed and wrapped with cord???

I think I saw a tweener with cord wrapped handles once.
I wouldn't do it myself though.
It was done to a 16 by (IIRC) piratemetaltoy (think that was his user name). I think he took out the bridge for the middle handle screw. A little research in this forum goes a long way. I'd find the thread right now but I'm on my phone. IMO, even wrapped little Beckers are not good for using as they get ratty way too fast and aren't an improvement over stock scales....or even no scales. I should know, I wrapped my 13 and my 11. 13's still wrapped but my kids mostly use it; the 11 has been modded and some nice, comfy wood scales have been permanently attached.

Didn't remember the name of the poster. But found the thread. Thanks.

Personally, I would rather keep my knife more comfortable and functional by leaving the handles on. I would just stick a roll or paracord in my pocket or pack.
