Handle work

Are you trying to reuse the factory slotted bolts? I've done a rescale on a 1/300 and reused the factory bolts. Turned out pretty nicely.

No, actually, I bought two cool sets of G10 that I want to retrofit to an ASHBM and an older SHSH. I bought the G10 and the bolts. I removed the old handles.

The ASHBM and the SHSH more than likely use different bolts. The old ones were 7/32 shank, newer ones are 1/4. Just in case you weren't aware.

Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Neither can I, lol.

I'd do it for you, but im still looking for a drill press on the inexpensive high value route.

I looked around a little for a used one but finally just bought the HF 5-speed bench drill press. I can't quite vouch for the high value yet, since I've only used it a few times, but so far it seems pretty decent.

Sounds like it's going to be a cool project Cobalt.

I plan to make some scales soon and maybe add liners to my JMD, but I'm going to practice on some other stuff before I mess with any of my 'kin :)

Sheppardcc on here has done several for me. Amazing work every time. Id get ahold of him. [emoji109]

Is Tim not doing mod work anymore?

He may be, but he won't charge me. I don't feel right having him spend his time and not charging me anything. Even a little. He did not even want shipping money. I'd even give him a knife for doing these knives. But I doubt he'd accept it.

Sounds like a perfect job for Tim; he does great work. Sometimes you need to let people have their way 😁.

Since I don't know who you guys are talking about, I keep picturing Tim the Enchanter. Bet he could do some badass mods.
