handle ????

i got a new browning/barker comp. knife the handle is a little blocky an slick for me i dont know the mat.it is i think its micarta can i sand it down an what can i do to make a texture on it i dont want to destroy the handle

sure. It works like wood, use a dust mask. Im not sure what the finish is on the micarta, you could leave a smooth finish with sand paper or get it bead blasted.

You should be able to file or sand it to shape.

Sand - bead blasting will give a nice grippy texture.


(auto body- abrasive blasting shops will do it very cheap - it's small and interesting)
mask off the blade first...
