This was the first opportunity to handle a Leek at Wally world. Reminded me alot of the OD-1, without the G10 and the protruding manual flipper(?). Nice and smooth play, I was impressed with it.

I was really impressed the first time I handled one, and it was at Wally world.. in Wyoming of all places. I was out there for school in 2005. Picked it up that day, it was a stainless partially serrated. Had it for about 2 years then lost it at work one day, fell into a ore processing hopper and is now probably part of someone's refridgerator door somewhere.

Daaaang.

Oh well, it's been replaced by a black on black partially serrated blem (last one of those..plain edge from now on) and now just got a Composite Blade Leek for Christmas.

I am probably going to catch some flak for this, but I have never warmed up to the leek. Something about the blade shape just doesn't do it for me. Now, if they all had the non-serrated random leek blade, then we'd be in business.

That being said, I am still on the hook for the orange model. :p

That pain edge random leek is in my grail list too solid. But i love all my leeks, its like Pokemon, u gotta catch em all

Damn you! I'll b adding that to my saved searches. I did that a while back with a 1620dam, no name or description listed, just a pic and kershaw knife

I actually got one for less than $60 on that auction site a few weeks ago. :D

How the hell did I miss that ?????? I am on eBay every day looking for the rare ones.

I am going to have to revise my search parameters :)

PCL, if you buy one you might become addicted. :)

On a side note, the only Leek I carry is my polished/trac taped 1660DAM.

I don't have many Leeks, and the only one I'm still actively searching for is a damascus variant, but I love 'em!

I'm in agreement with you on both counts. I have given 3 leeks away over the year. Always loved the look of the random Task PE. What a score on the bay!! Good deal.

I'm already having a kershaw problem and I think a Blur addiction. Have to save some money for ghe next binge after ghe holidays.

i really need to find my camera. you guys would love to see the Centofante / Onion prototype i was blessed with. it never made it into production because its soooo similar to the Leek in size and shape. Wharncliffe blade, frame lock and no thumb studs as it has an internal stop pin. it is a little deeper than the Leek. a very slick little knife and a bit beefier, its a shame they were never produced...

dam, i gotta find my camera!

Is it a predecessor to the 1610/1615? That always looked pretty Leekish to me
