That seems to be the SCHRADE coined brass rope border shield that Schrade used for special editions. Perhaps one of you will ask them the particulars on this knife. " SCS33 " seems to indicat that it is a Schrade Cutlery "Special Edition" of the 33OT, but the site says 3-3/8" closed, and the 33OT is listed as 3-5/16 closed. Perhaps they were unfinished Copenhagen knives? I have a Skoal 154G with that type shield. Tangstamp is SCHRADE over SKOAL USA.

HOWEVER...that said, Taylor has used that shield style on the sheep horn knives.
