It is a truly beautiful and exceptionally well crafted knife...truly a gem, but the handle felt cramped to my hands and I found that my pinky was uncomfortable to the point where I question whether I'd carry it regularly.
Not in my case....I carry a large Sebbie or Zaan often, as the small Seb is too small for my hand. But I really have plenty of room for my pinky with the Bowie, as you can see in the pic. I realize that this "Rigger" probably has very large hands...
Here is my new Slysz Bowie with my AVO, large Sebbie and Zaan.
...and here it is in my hand...very comfortable for me...and I wear Large gloves.

I also handled a Slysz Bowie a few weeks ago. It had the usual flawless Taiwan fit and finish, but somehow it did not impress me as much as I thought it would. Nothing wrong with the knife, just one of those intangible feelings that something was not quite right for me. It seemed a bit small at the time, but now that I see the comparison pics with the CRK's above I am uncertain why I got that impression. I remember I felt a bit underwhelmed the first time I handled a Sebenza too. Maybe it's just too perfect for me, maybe it's the lack of a choil, or maybe the heavy price tag put me off, something equivalent to $500 at my local shop. Will check it out again one day if I have the opportunity.
Woah! $500 would put me off too, and I LOVE my Slysz Bowie. But that was full MSRP and the reality is you can get them for $300. Next time you hold one think "I'm not paying more than $300", maybe that will help.![]()
You are right I would have to import, as it works out cheaper. But still, a $300 knife costs me about $400 to get in my hands. Most of my collection I imported based on pics and reviews on the internet. It's a real luxury to be able to handle a knife before buying. Most of our local shops only sell the budget line of Spydercos (Endura, Delica etc, maybe a Para2 and Military if you are lucky), so it was a treat to find a shop with a few Taiwan spydies to fondle and drool over!
