Handles and Hardware

Hello everyone. I recently found myself with a couple of naked knives (fixed blades) that are in need of scales. For some reason I found myself at a loss when it comes to attaching the G10 to the tang. My second problem was selecting hardware (torx screws/sexbolts/D-bolts), where to buy, and how to guage the size and type. I figured I would yield to those with far more specific experience in this.

I have some experience in welding with oxy acetylene and TIG, grinding, using Southbend lathes, etc. As well as silver/goldsmithing. I've made Native American jewlery with Turquoise/Coral/MOP, ETC. Not a pro by any means, but I know my way around a shop so to speak.

I would like to use bolts rather than pins for fear of slamming my scale and having it end up destroyed. Plus I do no not have a pin press made (yet).

So what can I use to epoxy a handle onto a fixed blade? JB Weld? Or the 3m stuff in the yellow bottles?

How about Pins/Bolts? How to choose proper hardware?

Any help is well received, thank you all for your time and advice.

Thanks for the tips amcardon. I placed an order with usaknifemaker last Monday, I bought my handle material there. I'll look at the corbys and the 2-ton epoxy too.
