I think there is some merit to the lopped of blade style. However, if taken too far, it can border on the extreme and will hinder the balance. If it's moderately front heavy and has a buttcap for balance, it might work well. I do think that a buttcap could be used on more competition style knives. I dont know if that would fit in the rules.
