If anyone would like to post pictures of their JK knives showing the various handle choices, it would be appreciated. Be sure to mention what material it is!

Heres what ill have in my pocket for a few years to come.
Sorry for the crappy lighting.

Bocote !
The contrast between the dark and light bands in this wood are really awesome in person.

Hey John - was I the only one that liked Snakewood?

I have not seen much press on the awesome Protourist designs, the Cutlass -

and the Galley Wag -

These live in my kitchen block, next to my modified wharncliffe, chef's knife and now my Crooked Creek (Thanks Cooper!)

Awesome-sauce!

One other handle material that John offers, and that is a very stable and hard wood is Amendoin, shown here on my LRK+ with KYenglish lanyard.

I'll end this with the surprisingly not-mentioned Torched Oak - which I think John does better than anyone - shown here on my Protourist Design Rule #9 -

If I had unlimited funds, I would get one of every design that my friends designed, Mykel, Outdoorsfan, Cooper, Mack, jds1, rockywolf, pitdog etc in Torched Oak.

California redwood 'fire burl'

Basically, in the 1800s they would buck the sections with bunions and burls off and leave then in the woods, but before removing the other logs they would burn the forest. On rare occasions the fire would boil the sugary sap inside and create a caramelization process that when ages feels like stabilized wood. Smells like red roses to me. I used to sell this stuff to wood turners. I saved just enough for JK to do a boot knife for me out of the Element 01 with turquoise liners.....

Most of the handle material I have has already been posted but here is a Mini Appalachia in Bloodwood that I sold a good while back.
