Lol,that looks like a Buck 124?Are you the model in this advertisement Desert Dave?
Fisherman that I grew up with wore coffee cans, bottom and top taken out, on his ankles when he fished snake country as did his buddies. However, one of his crowd was taken when he drank from a dark beer bottle containing a hornet which stung him in the throat. He died on the river bank.
No brand name on that knife in the poster but I'd say it has to be a Buck 124. That poster is really cool,it should have Chuck and CJ's signatures.I thought that too when I saw it. Striking similarities. DM
Sounds interesting. I found that poster online and pulled the trigger,it will make a nice wall hanger. That Nocona poster, Buck knives, and snakes, have been here before courtesy of your friend and mine Evil Eye Earl: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/833302-Rattlesnakes-and-Buck-knives
Sure looks to be a 124 Frontiersman to my sore eyes too.
I wonder if Chuck could tell us a product placement story associated with that 1970s boot print ad?
OK,now you have got me curious oregon.email sent
One for each hand.I believe I'd want the Hoodlum for that bunch. DM
