This is a new custom handmade self-defense tool. The design is based on the yawara, an ancient Japanese fighting tool. Overall dimensions are 6 5/8" from tip to end of lanyard tang. The tool is made from 19th century cutlery steel and retains its original hardened and tempered heat treatment. It is made from a high carbon steel butchers honing rod. It also retains some of its genuine patina showing age and use from its previous life. The custom divoted design is done entirely by hand and is unique to each individual tool. It has a stainless steel split ring at the lanyard hole with a coyote brown 550 paracord lanyard strap. Comes with a custom handmade leather slip sheath that is sewn with black and red nylon thread and treated with mink oil.
