For sale is a Philippines-produced blade by Blade Culture International (BCI). As far as I understand it, BCI is the producer of Traditional Filipino Weapons (TFW) products, but I have never independently confirmed this. You can see enough similarities in build quality, blade design, and overall aesthetic that this is a logical assumption.
This model is the Imbudo Laoc, made from 5160 spring steel with one-piece macassar ebony handles and brass fittings. The sheath is an unspecified Filipino hardwood, with blackened spring steel clip for retention and brass pins to prevent splitting and cracking.
The Imbudo Laoc is 28" long overall (the length of a standard escrima stick) with 21" blade. The cutting edge bevels are around 19" long. It has an ornate brass nut on the threaded full-length tang. As this is handmade there will be some surface blemishes and imperfections. It also have some minor scratches and scuffs from the sheaths. It is completely unused and is razor sharp.
I paid $315, shipped from Blade Culture USA's headquarters in New England. I will sell it for $110 shipped, paypal fee included, inside the US.
