I have 20 new leather belt sheaths immediately available for sale. These are handmade by me, Bill Goodwin of BG Custom Knife & Tool. Classic military design. These are styled on the Cattaraugus 225-Q military commando fighting knife sheaths used during WWII. Will also fit a Pal RH-36, a Case 337-6"Q and most other vintage WWII and modern knives with a blade up to 6" long and 1 1/2" wide. Made from 6 oz. leather. Hand sewn with nylon thread. Eight metal rivets. Metal snap. Great sheath for hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc. Functional and well built. Proven design. The first 11 in the picture below are completely treated with mink oil. 1-8 are right hand sheaths. 9-11 are left hand sheaths like the originals so a side arm or more frequently used equipment or gear that needed easy accessibility could be worn on the right side. 12-20 are natural, untreated leather. 12-20 can be used as is or easily wet formed to your particular knife. 12-17 are right hand and 18-20 are left hand. Mink oiled are $38.00 each shipped. Natural leather are $33.00 each shipped. U.S. only. First class mail. PM or email to billgoodwin1958@gmail.com Update-1-21-15-All pictured have been sold. Bill,

Question, USAF Aircrew Knife issued to me in 1989 - OAL 9-3/8" Blade 4-3/4" Width at Belly 1-1/8" Width at Choil 1-7/8" (Top finger guard was long ago filed off on the advice of some PJ's but bottom is original)

Your best guess...would we have a fit? I don't know much about wet forming but would like to learn.

Thank you,

Hello mako20ft, I have a another sheath already made that I think would be a better fit, same design. E-mail me for pics and details. Would be happy to share some tips on wet-forming.
Thanks, Bill

Got the sheaths today & could not be more pleased. I just sent you an email to order another one for my Dad. Also, hope it was okay, gave your email to my brother. He needs a couple of sheaths for some hunting knives he takes deer hunting.
