Ok, so lets try and make handsanding a bit more comfortable.
For most people in the knifemaking business the handsanding part of blade is the worst job of entire job.

Time consuming, sore hands and cramps. Chasing the lower grit marks and j hooks.
Trying to get good results with a old bar of flatstock with some sandpaper rolled over it.

No more…
This is our interpretation of a real hand sanding jig.

Made and designed together with A Anton edelmann.
What are the features?

ergonomical grip for less sore hands, and good shape for holding the sandpaper aswell.

• No clamps or whatsoever to hold the paper. Why? Quick and fast swapping! Use sandpaper like its free to get the best and fastest results.
• Interchangeable sanding inserts! Flat and curved ones.
• All size curved inserts can be made
• Modify the flat inserts by glueing on rubber or steel pads on them.
• Good ergonomics to also be able to put some force in when sanding.
• Printed with strong fillaments and lightweight.
• Flat insert has a place for a m4 nut, so you can drill two holes in a steel plate and mount it with 2 countersunk bolts.

Blanco flat insert / curved inserts 10€
Flat insert with rubber or steel pad 20€
4x blanco flat/curved insert 8€ a piece.

The handle itself comes with a blanco flat insert for 65€.
If you want 6 inserts so 5 extra is 5x 8€ is 40€ extra.
So 105€ in total.

Adding steel or rubber on a flat insert is 10€.

Shipping to the us in a mailbox package is 21€.

Radius inserts are made on request so just tell me what sizes you want.

Will take 2 weeks then before i can ship it. My buddy is printing and delivering the new stock to me. He can print your inserts then aswell.

I tried them to break with reasonable force that wont come on there will sanding and no problem.

But if you break it while sanding you will defenitely get a free replacement

Simple design with grooves were the sandpaper gets locked in to when holded in place.
Tension can be adjusted with smaller or bigger elastics that will be supplied with the insert.

Both side of the clamping forks work independently and are also limited in how far they can be pulled out.

Perfect for when you dont want to hold the paper with your fingers.
