I was cutting and drilling last night, and I took some photos. I realized that in all the shop photos I and others have posted, I have never seen the laser turned on.
The drill press laser ataches to the post, and projects a cross hair on the drilling surface. It makes multiple drilling much faster and easier. The laser for the saw projects a line that shows where the cut will be going. It helps with aligning cuts.
These are cheap and easily attached. The drill press laser is less than $50, the line laser is $10 at HF.
