Hanging on to an Endura

The stainless endura is a classic design and I love the knife, that said the factor that attracts me (the hefty stainless steel handles) also pushed me away. I find that I often want to carry it, but then I get concerns about traction. What if my hands are wet? Or the knife slips from my hand in a moment of haste? Ive dropped it several times trying to draw it quickly. So Im wondering if anyone has any ideas they have used to get some extra grip from slick handles, while still remaining pocket friendly?

I dunno, Ti millie seems slick but I haven't really tried using it in very wet or dirty conditions. I find the handle shape is a major factor in grip and it's not just the texture of the scales that determine the security of my grip.

That's just me though.

I think your right. I believe the issue I have might have something to do with the thin profile of the handle (1/3 the size of the frn handle approx.) Does anyone make handle slabs that you can screw into the tip up/down/left/right clip mountings?

There's some people here who customize knives. You can also go for the G10 enduras.

Just take it somewhere and have the handles engraved. That was the purpose of the flat SS handles to begin with.

You could experiment with some skateboard tape, which is easy to remove if you don't find it groovy.

+1 on skateboard tape. I've done a Delica and other stainless and aluminum handled knives. It works great and comes off clean when you want, even from anodized aluminum.

Here's my solution to the problem: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/616204-Stippling-an-Endura-for-better-grip
