Hank Sr., The Dean. BK4 MOD (Machax O Daizee)

You guys ever seen the "warrior machaxe"?? This mod reminds me of that version. Nice work granite...

It seems there are no new ideas. That's pretty sweet, though perhaps more aggressive than I would personally have a use for. I'd leave the swedge unsharpened for batonning. mainly it's there to reduce the whistle as it moves through the air. ;)
 
The knife looks great! Just curious, is the chopping power worse now since you removed steel in the spine behind the belly? The bk4 is an Ok chopper at best initially.

I don't think there's much difference. Hard to tell since I only have the one. And yeah, the 9 is a better chopper, but the 4 is so versatile and so fun ...I think the lighter weight with a more of it balanced over the sweet spot just make it feel powerful, especially for tasks like de-limbing and smaller things.
 
Real nice work, I think it looks fantastic! I love my 4, it has turned into my around the yard go to blade. Thanks for sharing

its meaner which is already a plus point, maybe now I finally have a reason to get a BK4 .. lol .. but its still a great job what you did to it. The new blade profile is so much nicer thou of cos, significiant weight has been removed at the end so it will change quite a fair bits on its usage and performance.

if you could, perhaps you are able to show us where is a balancing point now after you mod the blade.
 
That turnt out right nice!! Kinda reminds me of the warrior 4 and a kuk all at the same time. I'd buy 1! :thumbup:
