Hey guys, just recently started carrying a handkerchief, its amazing how useful it is! Anyone carry a hank with them?

One of the first thing I learned as a kid was, aside from always having a pocket knife was to have two bandana's. One rolled up in my right front pocket to keep my knife in place, and the other neatly folded up in my right rear pocket for emergency. Bandana's have a hundred uses and don't weigh anything hardly at all.

I usually have one or two in my pockets!

I feel unprepared without one.

By far the most useful thing I carry around with me on a daily basis. Sorry, is this a knife forum?

During the summer I always try to carry one, and a couple in the truck. Mainly, as either a head band to keep sweat out of my eyes if I'm working on the yard, or a head cover to block some sun too.

Back 100 years ago when I was interviewing for jobs, I always kept one in my right front pocket so I could make sure I didn't have a sweaty palm when shaking hands.

I've carried one for probably 7 years now. Right now I'm carrying an over sized Jägermeister one and it's pretty sweet. I use to carry a red one, but a former employer made me stop because someone made a joke about it representing a gang.

No, but I should probably invest in a few. I AM in the habit of stashing a folded-up paper towel or two in a pocket whenever possible. Very very useful with three little kids in tow.

I don't leave the house without one in my pocket, plus I always have a clean one in my truck.

I'm intrigued, what do you guys mostly use hankers for? I have never carried one, so just pure ignorance here. Seen them a lot in EDC pics recently though.

Absolutely! Comes in handy even more often now that I've got little kids to keep clean. They have 101 uses.
Mostly use mine as a towel/tissue. Also can make a world of difference when wet down and tied around the head to keep you cool working in the heat.
In my area a lot of thunderstorms are preceded by enormous dust storms that can take you by surprise. Nice to have something to keep that dust out of your lungs while heading inside/to the car.

Almost the same. One in the right front pocket. One in the everyday carry bag/man purse.

I mostly use buffs myself for wearing, but I always have a bandana or two in my bag. So far the most common use is a back-up hat for if one of my students looses theirs, (amazing that kids who live in a country where the sun will burn you alive can loose a hat so easily) But a big chunk of cotton is a very good thing to have. I find the hardest thing is finding ones that are decent size and a decent weight, the last couple I've bough have been very thin. It sort of makes them a bit of a consumable, which isn't that big of a deal.

I always have a folded-up paper towel in my back pocket in the winter. Always blowing my nose and whatnot.
