I enjoy being around them - I remember the first time Connie brought them home while us scruffy knife guys were gathering in the shop - the girls were both friendly and not scared.
Of course Grandpa was one of the scruffy knife guys lol -
Please keep Hanna in your prayers. Becky just sent me this.
Just finished with clinic. Hanna's ANC has drastically dropped again. A healthy persons would be in the thousands.... Like hers has gotten as high as 2000. Hers is currently at 240. Which means her body is weak and barely has any immune system. All chemo is on hold. The Dr. Is concerned because her counts shouldn't fluctuate this much now that she is maintenance. Hanna goes back next Tuesday to check them again and he is going to run a test to see if her body has a certain kind of mutation then as well. She already has one mutation and that's why she is categorized as very high risk. He thinks her body has another mutation and it can't handle the 6mp chemo drug that she takes everyday. If she does have it they will have to figure out how to change her chemo drugs and still be effective.
I love this picture makes me think of Hanna, Evan ,and all the other little kids Fighting their little hearts out. If only I were half as strong as them!

Hanna's counts are headed back up. They are at 820 right now. All chemo is cut in half for now..... Dr. Canner said this isn't uncommon. She will go to school tomorrow and back on Monday for a spinal. He thinks she may have allergies and wants me to give her Benadryl at bed time for two days then stop and see if her symptoms come back.
They also ran the test to check for mutations, this is what they told Becky.
It takes 3-4 weeks to get results from that test. He explained it as not being uncommon and told me not to freak. It doesn't mean it has any effect on long term outcome. He said picture two houses and when the cell runs out of one house to go to another that's when they need the medicine to attack. That's why it's given every day. He said as long as she is getting the medicine it's fine. Most likely they will cut 6mp and raise methotrexate
