Hanna Update

Hayley went with Connie and a group from Target to a homeless shelter to give out gifts, and work with the children making decorations.

Hanna starts her next round of chemo and steroids tomorrow, let`s hope this goes as well as the last round.
 
Just got word that Hanna`s counts are still good! She is just waiting for her chemo, then they will be coming home this afternoon.
 
John, I know I can't be nearly as happy as you, Hanna or your family, but this is great to hear!

Hanna Did very well today! Her counts were good, she had her spinal with chemo injection, chemo in her port and two Erwinia shots. Back on Monday for two more shots. steroids starting today as well.

More bad news for the Ackerman family. Dave`s longtime best friend passed away yesterday from heart failure, he was 28 years old.

Becky posted this on Facebook, I met Mikey several times, it`s a fitting tribute to him.

Every memory I have, you were making a hilarious scene to see people's reaction or goofing off to make someone laugh. Hayley and Hanna thought you were the funniest person ever!! I'm sure they will always remember you as their Daddy`s "brother from another mother" we love you and will miss you..... RIP Mikey Carrano.

Today Hanna had her chemo and steroid treatments, and had her counts checked. Her counts were the highest they have ever been, which is very good. Tomorrow she gets 3 different chemo treatments. She will be off the steroids for a week, then go back on them for a week, then she is done with them for a while. After she gets her treatments she has not been feeling very well, the doctors say that`s normal. We are keeping her and Hayley tomorrow night and Saturday so Becky and Dave can go to the wake and funeral. Since Hanna won`t be feeling well, it will be a quiet time, we will just rent some videos for them. Except for her not feeling well after the treatments, she is doing very, very good!
