I've been bitten! The knife making bug got a good hold of me and I've gotten started on my second (first serious) stock removal knife! The first one I did in my dad's shop primarily so it doesn't "really" count, this one I'm doing all by myself...
I decided that I needed another fillet knife so I've gotten the blank cut out of a bar of 1095 and started draw-filing this afternoon. WOW, that process is addicting. I found myself drawing to the beat of whatever classic rock was playing on the radio and pretty soon, my fingers were getting warm and the file was getting close to hot! Nice pile of steel shavings, boy this is fun!!!!
Taking a break to let my hands and wrists stop spasming, I guess this is something that requires a little physical training, right?
