I finally broke down and bought a gas powered leaf blower, to replace my rake & broom, & I still feel guilty. Still trimming the hedges & brush with various steel hand tools
Still go my eye on the AK47 for the job. I wear eyes and ears when I mow & weedeating also. My yard's steep enough that I also wear my rugby boots. The high topp, hard toe, screw in's (in cooler weather). Of course I'm also carrying my Fox pepper spray, my cell phone and a minimum of one knife, often 3-4 depending on what came in the mail that week I really hate it when the neighbors dog charges the lawn mower. I'm trying to make friends, honest...

P.S. Neighbor is Sheriff's deputy, gentleman down the road is a Detective(SP?). It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood
