Happy B-Day Kismet

In commemoration of your special day I have decided to post a picture of the jewel of my collection, a rare and priceless bronze-age ball peen hammer, for your enjoyment. Have a great day, friend! :D

Happy, Happy Birthday and Many More my friend!!!! :D
I hope you treat yourself to something as nice as I got in the mail today.;)
Along with some highly valued, by me, Sourwood branches I also received a beautiful Linder-Messer Solingen High Carbon Steel Buffalo Skinner with a 5-1/8"+ blade and a beautiful Stag handle!!!!
My very first piece off of ePrey although I had a friend bid on it for me.
Today I also placed my first bid, have about 10 minutes to go and if I win it I'll have another really nice old Cattaraugus 225Q, one of the finest blades ever made!!!!
Gonna have to go refresh the page soon so some other Bastid doesn't get it. ;) :D

Thank you, Gentle People...

HD? I am 60 years old. (I honestly don't know how THAT happened. I was here all the time, but I'd swear it hasn't been 60 years.)

Folks, if I am the soul of the Cantina, we need an exorcism--maybe some indulgences would work. But thank you for the generous thoughts.

Two quotes:

"You shall, above all things, be young and glad.
For if you're young
Whatever life you wear,
It will become you...

And if you're glad,
Whatever's living,
You will, yourself, become."

eecummings.

and...

If you have (generally) your health, people who care for you, and people for whom you care....every thing else is just "stuff."

Kismet

I am blessed.

Kis,
You are one of the great joys of cantina life. We all value your insight and wisdom. Or, at least we should. ;) Have a great birthday, pal.

Happy Birthday to you! Are you going to have some longivity noodles to celebrate your bithday as most chinese people do? :D

I drink bacon fat. I figure it's not a longevity drink though. :) ;)

Red Flower?

Thank you for the generous thought, but I'm not seeking longevity.

My birthday treat was an "Elvis Sandwich," i.e., Peanut butter and strawberry jelly, with banana, bacon and salt, on toast.

I suspect it is not recommended by the American Cardiologist's Association.

Actually, not that far off from Bruise's bacon fat drink.

Thank you, everyone.

As Bruise will attest, in drinking bacon fat, temperature is all. Too hot and it burns your mouth. Too cold and it sticks to the roof of the mouth. In between: ah!!! ;)

"You must spread some reputation around before giving it to Kismet again."

Beautiful post Kismet. Thanks for your insight and support.
