Today's my dad's birthday, 90 years!!!!, and I want to publicly wish him a happy one and hope he makes it at least ten more. I'll call him later today to wish him well personally.
Lives alone in the family home in Springfield, MO. Cooks his own food, does all the housework including washing clothes. Grows a big garden in the summer, shovels snow in the winter, does all home repair and maintenance, changes the oil on his Audi (saves his mustard and mayo jars and smuggles the oil into the garbage a jar at a time to avoid disposal fees!) and makes guitars "to keep from going crazy." Got 35 or 40 guitars hanging around the house.
And smokes a carton a week, drinks 10 or 12 cups of coffee by noon, eats whatever he wants, and just keeps on tickin'.
Thanks, Dad, for doing so much for so long.
