  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Happy Birthday Pappy!!!!

A big super thank you to all. First time I ever got a happy birthday wish from anywhere other than the USA. Poland, France, and where all else. I'm not really at a loss for words very often. About the only other thing I can say, Semper Fi!!! to all, and God Bless.:) :)

Busy day, and just caught this. Happy Birthday and the best from rural Nevada, which ain't a foreign country, exactly, but then you're a Texan - you ought to understand. ;)

Good wishes from the Far East for this and many more birthdays to come.

Tell me if I'm wrong but I'll bet with confidence there were a couple of times in your life, Pappy, when you felt you'd never see this one. We can chuckle about that now but at the time it wasn't funny at all.

There were other days that were no picnic, but the 1st, 2nd, and, 3rd of May 68? I hope I nor anyone that I know ever has to go through three days like that, Ever. One would be bad enough.

You spoke the Gospel Uncle Bill. I'm not sure I should have said as much as I have.

Sounds like you might be referring to the Vietnam Tet offensive in '68. I was lucky and missed that meat grinder. Didn't arrive in country till '69. Actually, when I think about it, I have been lucky my whole life. Not so for some of our brothers. That's why I count my blessings on a regular basis.
