Happy Birthday to Bigbore577

I guess I'm not too old or young, I'm just a little over 4.5 decades old.

I'm 427 in dog years. Babe in the woods.

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes! :) It was unexpected but to be honest, I loved every minute of it! I'm not sure why it was thought I'm young. Perhaps if I quit acting like a three year old as my darling wife suggests, it would be obvious I'm an old curmudgeon. My birth year matches my age or as with Bawannaman's dog year scale I'm 406. Thanks again everyone, you made my day.

Well be careful son puberty it right around the corner.

Gotta watch that stuff Bawanna, I hear it hits guys "right fearsomely"

We women on the other hand being practically mature when we are born, we figure age a little differently. I am about ten times as old as I act. About half the age I expect your to respect me as, and fully twice as old as I will admit to....

In otherwords, I am 21 again, as I quit having birthdays right after that.

You question my respect for you my dear, your long time yet unsuccessful suitor? I'm crushed. Crushed I tell thee.

Oops,
my apologies for being so late in wishing you a very happy and peaceful birthday.
Alan

I guess I must be the old guy in this group. I though maybe BigBore was close, but he's still a youngster. My birthday is also in February, but I'm older than NASCAR...

HA! Your older than a Dodge Coronet 440 with six pack? Me too! Dad had one and boy was I ticked off when he got rid of it! Man I wanted that car so bad!!! Too young to have any money tho. Mom had a Galaxy 500 which I liked too! You might know my friend Junior?

I took Drivers Ed in a 72 Dodge Charger with a 440. Candy apple red with a black vinyl top. Way cool. Why they would loan a car like that to kids I could never figure out.
I had a ton of fun in that car and wanted it badly also.

Instructor was also my Auto Shop teacher and he knew I could already drive. The 2 other students were brand new to it and scary. I got to drive a lot!

First day we got in the car he said he knew what I wanted to do and to just get it over with. Took it to a designated area of the school parking lot where they usually dumped a barrel of oil each graduation. Smoked the tired nearly the whole length of the parking lot. Stopped and said what now. He said is that enough or do you need to do that one more time.

So back we went, it was good.

Lucky you Mr. B! Good ol days eh! I took mine in a Ford 76? Granada. "Grandmas car" By then all the emissions stuff was choking out all the power. My first car was a 76 Chevelle. It was faster than most and the first ticket I got was doing 97mph. I was hard on the brakes when i registered on the radar so I know i was doing 110 or so at least :D

I passed my test in a 73' C-10 Pickup. I'd been driving trucks on the farm since I was 9. Three on the tree, four speeds, two overs, you name it. The state inspector inquired " you've done this before?" I denied such. I passed.

My first truly owend car was. 72' Crysler Newport. A beast to say the least. It had a 440 Magnum which as an adolescent gear head, included headers, intense manifold and a huge four barrel. It really came to life. However, it's ability to stop sucked is an understatement. Lack of stopping ability darn near killed me more than the speed. VW 2180's and the ability of Chevy 283's near 10G RPM's make stories for later.
