Patsy fixed me a wonderful breakfast & I started reading the paper as I finished .

WHAM !

"Todays life expectancy now is age seventy-eight " hit me between the running lights !

D a y u m ! I'm 78 today .I picked out my burial clothes ,chose my obit photo & wrote a glowing obituary. What do I do now ? Sit by the door with money for the crematory ?

Now I wonder if
I can get an honors funeral if I'm being spread over my front yard . Anyone know ?

Seriously, I am healthy, clear headed [reasonably so ] good driving habits & along with my soul-mate,we are very happy. We have excellent health care,a fair income,& savings.

We really wish our friends here the same & thank you for the birthday wishes .

Whoa! A member who's one of the guys who calculates that stuff for the insurance companies explained it to us once. A baby born today has a life expectancy of about 80 years, on average -- but that's a median, it means half the babies born now will die before they're 80. If you've already lived to 78 your median life expectancy is a lot more than that -- more like 95. So go right ahead and renew your Gold Membership; it's a good bet you'll get the full use of it. :)
 
Only 78? Dang... 78 is the new 50. Happy Birthday Unk A! Do it up proper...
