I made 3 pairs of BBQ sets, each with a 6.5" boning knife and a 12.5" cimeter. They are Magnacut at 63 HRC and work as well as I hoped.

Thanks! Those were gifts as I don't sell my work (I'm too inefficient to make a profit). I'm not sure if/when I would revisit those patterns...

How did that happen? Are those 2 yr old scars?

Those were fresh. Three of the burns tore open and became large lacerations.

Long story, but I tripped over a 15lb dumbbell, knocked over an electric radiator, slammed into the wall/shelves/file drawers, knocking myself unconscious, and collapsed on the radiator.

Scars today:



I've considered turning them into a tattoo.

It's quite cold here now, getting ready to close up the grill for the winter. Never know when we could get snow, it could come in a week, or hold out until late November like last year.
