I think it may be unusual for a maker to offer comments on a great transaction with one of his customers, but in this case, I think it might be appropriate. Happy Camper is now branching off into handmade customs. I believe he'll be offering up some of his production knives, and I thought I'd give him a well deserved good word here, and let everyone know that he's on my "good guy" list.
Prior to our current deal together, Happy Camper and I didn't know each other at all. We spent quite a bit of time both through email and on the phone working on design issues for his new knife. I began to feel early on that he was good, honest fellow.
One thing that really sticks out in my memory was that fact that he showed concern about me getting enough money for the work I was doing for him. Because he was genuinely interested that both of us come out good on this deal, I'd just like to give Happy Camper a "thumbs up" as one of the good guys.
