At this time of year we tend to reflect back on the year we are about to say goodbye to. Many good things have happened this year and BladeForums is just one of many accomplishments I will look back on with pride.

I have met many new friends through the use of the forums and feel that we have created a community here which is unlike any I have seen before. One of my goals, when I started BladeForums, was to create this sense of community. I wanted a more relaxed atmosphere where one could come and gather information, meet new friends, have fun and learn. It has been my experience that a well run forum, with a somewhat relaxed atmosphere, creates a more friendly environment and this, I believe, has been accomplished.

However none of this could have been accomplished without having members, like yourselves, who truly care about this great hobby we all share. You truly make this the best of the best and for that I am truly grateful.

So from my family to yours, we wish each of you the happiest of holidays and a successful new year.

Best Regards,
Mike & Lori Turber

PS Kevin (Spark) is on vacation and wishes the same.

I posted this a few days ago, but it bears repeating here:

This is the season where it is customary to count one's blessings. I have and it is overwhelming. These forums, the great folks I've met here, the custom knife and sheath makers I've had a blast working with, the manufacturers' that have placed great products in my hands and have shown what real customer service is all about.... all this and more.

To all and your families, I wish you nothing but the best this holiday season and for an even more rewarding 1999!

My toast to you all:

Here’s to lying, stealing, cheating and drinking. When you lie, lie to save a friend. When you steal, steal a young girl’s heart. When you cheat, cheat death. And when you drink, drink with us, my friends!

Merry Christmas to all and to all,

I too would like to wish all my BladeForums friends a very Merry Christmas. Ever since I've begun moderating here I've met a lot of great people who I enjoy keeping in touch with. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a joyous New Year. You know what the new year brings - another round of NEW KNIVES!!!
