Just wanted to take a second and wish my brothers and sisters in the Corps a Happy Birthday. To those of you on active duty thanks for your ongoing service. To the retired and former Marines out there thanks for serving.

I also would like to wish all the veterans a Happy Veterans Day.

i always liked:

be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

or:

rule #1: always know where you are going.
rule #2: always look good.

rule #3: if you dont know where you are going, at least you look good.

(btw, i was never a marine, just many many friends who were) :thumbup:

HBD USMC!

When I was at WIU there was a prof in the Industrial Engineering and Tech Dept. who was a Marine. I heard tell he brought his dress sword in to cut a birthday cake adorned with the eagle, globe and anchor. As a side note, one of the first head masters of the old university was a Marine and he left the university with the tradition of using a bulldog, the eagle, globe and anchor and the "Fighting Leathernecks" as emblems of our school. Always kind of cool I thought. :D
