A very humble THANK YOU to all Marines... "Always faithful" is not an easy motto to live up to, and I appreciate the fact that you all do... And that so very well.

Semper Fidelis!! ...And my most sincere thanks, from this grateful American.

Happy Birthday to the U.S. Marine Corps!:thumbup:

OoorahTeufelhunds!
Best always And Semperfi...
Sgt Christofferson_2112...1987-1994.
Gunsmiths from Hell.

Help yourself, Brother!
And these, too!
Heck, I probably 'appropriated' them from somewhere, myself... :)
ENJOY!

Thanks Rat.

I'm glad to see there is quite a few of us here.

Thanks to everyone who dropped in and expressed their thanks or birthday wishes. It is nice to know that there is still an appreciation for veterans.

I saw quite a few vehicles with USMC stickers and signage on them yesterday, great day to spot Marines!

Some people just go overboard with USMC decals and bumperstickers...

I prefer a little more 'subtlety'! :D

This one is my Busse Transport Vehicle... gets a few nods, now and then...

You can take the man out of the Marines, but not the Marine out of the man... :D

ENJOY!

The picture shown here is then 1stSgt Brad Kasal coming out of the "Hell House" in Fallujah on 13 Nov 2004 after taking seven rounds in one leg and much grenade shrapnel as he led the second rescue attempt to extract seven wounded Marines from a house full of Chechnian terrorists. Today, after extensive rehab, SgtMaj Kasal is back on duty and the recipient of the Navy Cross - the epitome of Semper Fidelis. One Marine died and over a dozen were wounded because they would never leave a brother. All the terrorists died, at least one by the blade.

Thank God for the United States Marine Corps and those men and women who live their lives in the spirit of Always Faithful.

Thank you for filling in the details, Mr. Norwood -

I could not find the story, but had the picture. I remember also that the Marine he was sheltering with his body survived. I also noted that he was still armed while being evacuated.

I found the copy of the photo I had saved on my home PC here after the story came to my attention some time ago.

Semper Fi, Mr Norwood!

Just wanted to take a second and wish my brothers and sisters in the Corps a Happy Birthday. To those of you on active duty thanks for your ongoing service. To the retired and former Marines out there thanks for serving.

I also would like to wish all the veterans a Happy Veterans Day.

Whats this "former" talk.

Once a Marine....always a Marine. There are simply active and non-active. :D
