I sent a pic to Scott, I need to post it here. I am proud of myself, got my fat ass out on the Appalachian trail this Saturday, near Frederick. I need to go in mid Spring/mid-fall though. I can't believe I left my walking stick at home (a short hike, took my Nalgene water bottle kit, I need to get a Max water bottle pack though), I found a stick at the parking lot, and carved a a wedge on the bottom, removed some bark at the top, and whittled it when I got back near the parking lot. Passed it off to another hiker in need (I wasn't the only fat guy out there ). Have a pic of my UNK on the App trail.
