If you ever needed a reason to buy a knife this is a no brainer. I would go so far as to say it's our civic duty:D

Does anyone know the orgins, how the national knife day started. I just heard of it today and I have been into knives my whole life. Is it new this year?
 
I don't know where it started, but I have an idea how. Someone, like me today, purchased one to many at the store and needed an excuse when they got home.

One TN based knife store has a "big sale" today. I wondered why today? Guess I know now. I was within about 30 minutes drive from their store earlier today and was pondering driving over to wander around. Then decided that I'll just blow a couple hundred and I'll keep my money in my pocket as I have nothing really on my to buy list.

That's a nice Chaparral ya got there Rookie! Looks like it'd be a great knife to pair with the GB! Enjoy dude!
 
I've seen this mentioned on several knife seller's sites. What the heck is National Knife Day, who "proclaimed" it and what is it about? I also saw a reference that today is also National Peach Pie Day, Waffle Day, Pluto Demoted day, Vesuvius Day amongst others including William Wilberforce Day. https://www.checkiday.com/08/24

Happy National Knife day everyone! Due to my declining health and the fact that its national knife day, my mom gave me the money for this! Just waiting to hear back from Matt on payment.

Don't forget national can opener day for those of us that carry a P-38 with our knife.:D
