I've seen this mentioned on several knife seller's sites. What the heck is National Knife Day, who "proclaimed" it and what is it about? I also saw a reference that today is also National Peach Pie Day, Waffle Day, Pluto Demoted day, Vesuvius Day amongst others including William Wilberforce Day. https://www.checkiday.com/08/24

...Well, what better day then to start off with Waffles for breakfast, Peach Pie for dessert,
buying a Spyderco Vesuvius, show some support for Pluto but hang on to Uranus,
