Well, 2014 has come to a end. Every year I kinda take a little while to reflect on the previous 365 days. I learned a lot last year, about life, business, relationships, the whole nine yards really. One thing I learned just last night was don't tell your 10 year old son to help himself to the shrimp platter your wife bought for everyone to munch on during the New years celebration and expect to get any.

But all jokes aside, 2014 has been a changing point in my life, and also a huge learning curve. I look at 2015 and its a bright shinning pathway for me. I figured that now that I have the freedom to do things on my own terms its mine to have or to lose. Needless to say, the latter of the two is not a option for me.

I never did like the concept behind new years resolutions. To set unrealistic things on a pedestal is in my mind just setting yourself up for disappointment, however, I am a firm believer in goals. I feel like I have set enough for the new year to keep me a very busy boy.

So, what are your guys goals for 2015? What do you want out of it? Personally, it never really changes for me. I want to be a better Husband, Father, Christian, Knife maker, business man. Probably ought to drink a few more glasses of orange juice without the Vodka. Maybe do a push up or two and maybe even start exercising a little. My wife wants to run in a marathon some day, who knows, maybe I will start running around the block with her.

Whatever it is you guys are into, I wish you all the best of luck, and successes. Here's to all of us, let the new year bring us good health, good fortune, and a good bottle of beer every now and then!

Stay safe!

Happy New Years!
My goals are to go to church more often, to spend more time outdoors with my family and buy a Magua

Happy New Years!

May 2015 bring you more joy an success then previous years!

Cheers,

Tim

I try to learn a new thing each year -- so this morning I made cheese for the first time.
I highly recommend the book "1 hour cheese" -- several of the recipes are very similar, but it gives you the basics behind how it's done a LOT quicker and easier than following a set of traditional instructions.

Happy new year! I left a lot of beer un-drank, I'd like to amend that.

Happy New year! It'll be exciting to see what you guys are up to.

This year, among becoming a better husband, father, etc, I'm leaving to turn bowls on the lathe. I hope to be taking it all the way from the tree to a bowl with what I learn. Right now I've started with a stabilized block.

Cool Nate, be sure to post pics when you get some done, id love to see them, I do love me some lathe work.

Happy new year, Todd & friends. This year should be a big one.... I'll be gunning for my CPA, learning more and growing in my new position at work and help the little company continue to grow as it adjusts to some big changes that happened in 2014, pushing to get a personal project to completion and out to market, and the missus and I plan to buy a house later this year.... I'd also love to get out of the apartment more and do things again like: see my old 3B finished up, make a half-decent hand forged knife, build an end grain butcher block or build a cedar strip canoe..... but I'd be happy with one (or two) out of four with everything else going on this year.
