Happy New years to whoever you are that found my pm2 tonight. I don't usually go to the bar straight from work but tonight was a special occasion. And you my friend, are a special man. Because not only did you manage to find my knife on the one night it went down town, you managed to find it the only time it's ever slipped my pocket in a year. So here's to you, enjoying my knife that i saved for a year to get, and here's to me saving my college budget for another year to replace my grail

Haha this is the only acceptable response to op's post.

On a more serious note, I left the first good knife I bought myself (a caly 3.5) in an applebee's. The ironic thing is I swam in rivers, dove in my pond, hunted, and everything else with the knife (and never lost it) until I sent it to spyderco to be sharpened (this was before I knew anything, specifically how to sharpen). Literally the week I got it back I went orienteering, but no it didn't get lost while running through thick brush in the mountains... Freaking applebee's.

Same kind of thing happens to me... No amount of weird motion from running, jumping, crawling etc can dislodge my knife from my pocket, but apparently chairs can do so quite easily.

Sorry for your loss. It could have been much worse, bad things happen at bars. I know.:o

I never know what to say to these kinds of threads.

Hope you can get a knife that you enjoy in the short term. There are many really good knives in the $35-50 range. Hopefully one can tide you over until you can replace your PM2.

Good luck!

I'd say you're taking it rather gracefully. I'd be pretty darn mad at myself if I lost such a knife. Perhaps due to your good attitude, karma will make it up to you some day.

Dang, that stinks. Sorry. Did you at least put in a phone call to the bar (or even better, go back and have a look around)? You never know...

wow that sucks big time, I had my first Para 2 for about a year now and just bought another one from eKnives.com very, very fast shipping. I feel a little better now I have a backup. hope you get a new one soon.

UPDATE! :
So I went back to the bar that I lost my PM2 at on new years eve to check for my knife just now. The bartender said a couple hours earlier she heard someone talking to their friend about a knife they found there. The bar tener asked if she could hang on to it in case anyone happens to come looking for it and for some reason he agreed. So I showed her the 1000 pictures of it on my phone that I took to prove it was mine and she gave it back! I can't believe it haha. I'm gonna be much more careful from now on. No more 2 day vacations for my baby. I hope I run into this guy so I can buy him a beer. This year doesn't suck so bad after all!

Hey that's awesome I'm glad you got it back! Maybe give the bartender some cash to buy the guy a beer if he comes on again. There still are some decent people out there. Again glad you got your knife back, and nice pic above.

 cool
You absolutely should give her a good tip. She went out of her way to get your precious back to you.

Im definitely going to be tipping her well. I always have but now she's gone above and beyond. And thats a good idea to leave her money for the guy that found it. Small price to pay for getting my baby back haha
