Definitely buy that man a beer for being nice enough to leave it there.

I've lost enough things that I do an inventory check of everything before I leave a place. Sitting down always tends to push things out of your pocket.
 
I am glad this had a happy ending. Kudos to the bartender and the good samaritan for getting your knife back to you.

So I went back to the bar that I lost my PM2 at on new years eve to check for my knife just now. The bartender said a couple hours earlier she heard someone talking to their friend about a knife they found there. The bar tener asked if she could hang on to it in case anyone happens to come looking for it and for some reason he agreed. So I showed her the 1000 pictures of it on my phone that I took to prove it was mine and she gave it back! I can't believe it haha. I'm gonna be much more careful from now on. No more 2 day vacations for my baby. I hope I run into this guy so I can buy him a beer. This year doesn't suck so bad after all!

Reminds me of the time I dropped my keys at a bar on base in Iceland. I had a dog tag on there a s well as a SAK Classic. I know it is nowhere near the same league as your PM2, nut I was still ticked that I had lost my keys. Well, the next day, security shows up with my keys, but whomever turned them in, helped themselves to my SAK. Small price to pay to get my key back, but I was still ticked.

Glad to see you got your knife back.
 
Congrats on getting your knife back! I hope you tipped the bartender, and if the finder was a regular, that you told the bartender to give them a free drink on you next time they come in.
