Hello-here i have a offering of some group pieces and many separate pieces-my pictures dont do my pieces justice-if you recieve a piece or pkg. And you;re not pleased with the material please let me know and you will be refunded-i collected my pieces therefore i also like them-i try to be as reasonable as possible -- i believe the pieces and prices speak for themselves-i'm putting up some different pieces that can be used for different projects-i've acquired some beautiful inlay shealths on a few knifes so i just wanted to see if there was any interest--every item except # 8 the big oosik will be flat rate prioity mail insured for 10.00---- # 8 will be 20.00 prioity mail insured and if it's cheaper the extra will be in the box-i ship nothing out of the united states--those are the rules -- i appreciate you taking the time reading and viewing photos-
#- 1 -- 7 1/4 inches long-big end 1 1/2 wide - 1 ' tall- small end-- 1 inch wide -- 7/8 ths tall-small core -- female tusk piece-light stripes shades of brown--and creamy-small twist about midway-lots of material with the little core-- 225.00
#--2--5 1/4 inches long-big end is 1 inch wide-- 3/4 inch tall -- small end--3/4 wide -- almost 3/4 tall--piece of a female tusk with small core--the big end has a natural inclusion the small end cut--i'll price this where you can work with it--100.00
#--3-- is a lot of 7 different pieces-about at least 4 of these pieces were artifact related--old ivory mixture of colors-the piece with the perfect hole looks to have also had a fire starter--this piece is 4 1/2 inches long and 1 1/4 wide most of the way-one piece appears to be the top of a ice pick--i see some prety ivory for craftsman-200.00 for the lot-
#--4--here's a interesting lot of fossil walrus teeth-they are ivory-they have been cleaned and tumbled-they range from over 2 inches down--there's 4-5 that are 1 1/4 inches and most average on the bigger side-most show dark brown to black interiors-lots of nice color and can be sliced-125.00 for the lot--
#--5--really nice arifact piece--this had to be a big male --the tusk was halfed at one point in time like a long time ago and how well done with the available tools--this is a tribute to eskimo technology so long ago-it's like almost perfect--so with it being halfed one side is core but with the core being exposed for so long it is more like marble--it did'nt get the protection with the outer layers being gone-i've had 2 opinions on this piece of course sled runner but most sled runner pieces show differnt wear and -- the other which i like better is part of the ship where a harpoon rest or notch for other implement--thia piece is 7 3/4 long and 2 1/2 wide + plus the whole lenth--almost uniform thickness 3/4 of a inch--it has a hole on the rigt top and a indention midway-- 475.00
#--6--this is a really nice piece of oosik--business end and there is almost no core-it's super solid--5 1/2 inches long--big end-1 3/4 wide--1 1/2 tall--nice mixture of browns with overtones--very heavy like i said solid to the core-- 95.00
#--7--this is another quality piece of oosik--it also is solid to the core also--different array of creamy tan -light brown little darker color undernealth--this piece is 10 1/2 inches long--big end 1 1/2 bye 1 1/2--small end--1 1/4 wide--1 3/8 ths tall--i see 2 nice handles or one heck of a knife--180.00
#--8--here is a complete oosik--this is never been polised--it's in the state it was found in other than being dried for the last several years-this piece came out of a sod house find with many others-these were used in ancient times in the foundation walls of sod homes-and many other uses in constuction--i've seen photos of actual framework--you gotta love the ideas of the eskimos given the tools and conditions-respect--this piece has even retained the smell of the permafrost--this piece is 20 inches long --5 1/2 inches around at the big end --3 1/2 at the small end--no breaks--no cracks-- 275.00
#--9-- oh number 9-- this is a amazing piece of fossil walrus--somewhere in it there's every color that ivory can collect--{almost}there's nice blues--blacks-orange-tan-array of colors--it has a pretty big core but the ivory thickens towards the big end and it does it in a hurry on the small end-this was ivory that was in the groung a long time--it collected a whole bunch--as the top layer disinegrates the colors penetrate farther--this also has the moon crater effect when rubbing over it--it was not sanded baby smooth--i personally like this effect better not often found and this would be a nice piece for many things-gun grips would be wild--6 1/2 inches long--big end--2 1/4 wide-1 18th tall--small end--1 15/16 wide--3/4+ tall solid--crack free---always one of my favorites-- 500.00
