Hello All,

I'm at work but all of the "suits" have gone home for the holidays and there are just a few of us controllers on duty. Finally, a chance to get on the net and scan the forum in peace and quiet.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a happy Thanksgiving. I know that some of you will be working or live in places that don't celebrate this particular holiday. It doesn't matter, give thanks for something anyway. I'll be thanking my God for my wife, my much improved health and all in all a pretty good life so far.

I figure that setting aside one day a year to thank your maker for the good things is a great idea. I'm sure God, like everyone else, gets tired of hearing nothing but complaints.

Very much agreed, fellow forumites. It is always appropriate to give Him thanks. Thanksgiving Day is aptly named. And it still says so, right on the money, "In God we trust." May you all be richly blessed on this special day.
 
Happy Thanksgiving to you all... if a little late. I shall be thanking Jesus Christ and the Christian Church for my liberal way of thinking about others and charity, Ganesh for my (relative) wealth and wellbeing, Krishna for my happiness and my love of a good time. I will also include Mohammed for modern philosophy, medicine and science and the bearing of all these on my life. While I'm at it, I shall remember Wicca, because, well, they're just cool, and keep our feet on the ground and help us to consider what we do with this little planet and to respect Mother nature.

So I guess I'm multi-denominational.
