Mr. Ivan Tasev has done it again! And he has done it again very well!
He is a forum member here under the name ipt and a seller of Bulgarian axes and hatchets, new and vintage, on several platforms: Amazon (mapsyst), eBay (mapsyst), Etsy (HappyTools Etsy store) and his online stores called Axe and Adze (axeandadze.com) and AXESSIVE (axessive.com).
Over the years I have purchased from him straight woodworking adzes and have received as a gift from a forum giveaway a combination hatchet and adze tool - both great quality tools.
Recently I saw that he had some good promotional discount prices on Etsy, so I bought a trio of woodworking adzes (straight and two curved bowl making ones with different curves), a small combination hatchet & adze tool and medium sized bearded hatchet which he calls a Viking style one.
I wanted to get this adze trio for a long time and finally I was able to buy them.
The items arrived in about 3 weeks with tracking through the shipping process and in a very well and safely packaged box.
The metal parts and the wooden handles were all nicely finished and I expect years of great service from these tools.
I think these tools provide very similar user value and quality as the well known German and Austrian adzes for a fraction of their price.
Mr. Tasev now also carries upgraded versions of some pf the woodworking adzes.
The Viking style hatchet is a light but very capable outdoors hatchet for bushcraft purposes, especially if you are planning to do a lot of wood carving and shaping and not just splitting firewood.
If you are a woodworker planning to use adzes, these tools are well worth of your consideration.
If you get them, you will be a happy customer, just as I am!
Thank you, Mr. Tasev!
