I was browsing online this morning and was checking prices on grinders and buffers. The 8" buffer normally sells for $79.99 online, if you click on the item, the price advertised on the specific page is $49.00!!!

I printed the page, and a 20% coupon and I'm going out the door now to HF to see if they will match online + 20%!

Well fug, I just called to see if they had it instock and its an online item only. Ah well, looks like I will be ordering it!

ETA; Just read the update. Ah, well..still a good buy!!!

Oh boy! I wish I had a local HF. We had them everywhere in Phoenix. Keep us posted...that would be a score sir!

I'm ordering it online, $49.00. A loose 6" and a stitched 6" buff and a belt cleaner stick for my belt grinder takes me above $59.99. There's a coupon code for a $10 gift card so I applied that, which takes care of the $8.99 shipping (basically). :D

Looking back on their site, the price has been changed. If anyone is interested in this the item # is:

40668-2VGA

When you look at it, it has gone back up to $79.99. I can email the scan sheet of the online price if anyone wants it. Take advantage of this! :)

Well, I just got an email a bit ago from one of the sales rep's stating that

"...the $49.00 price was invalid, the price is $79.99. If you want the buffer for $79.99 let us know and we will process the order."

So, I emailed them back, politely to start stating that it's not MY fault they had an incorrect price and that they should be obligated to honor the wrong price. Charging me for THEIR mess up is wrong. I also went on with how Lowe's, Wal-mart and even Home Depot honor similar guarantees that if the price listed is wrong, they are obligated to sell that item for that price because it is up to their pricing department to keep things up to date....not their customers. I know this from working at Lowe's for 6 years.

So I counter offered with that and that they should honor their mistake. I have printed copies of the page from this morning showing the price. If need be, I will go to their corporate office to take care of this.

Just thought I would give a small update.
