Hard to Find 110 Tang Stamps

I am attempting to purchase a 110- that I believe to be a reblade of a square frame, I passed it by early on. if I capture it I'll post photo's. Would it classify as a hard to find or as a modified.

Yes, I think a single dash is a hard to find blade stamping. DM

But it exists ...[emoji6][emoji4]

David, what I think MaxCast means is that it is frowned upon by many, including mods, to resurrect old threads. I also think he means he has been chastised for this previously. In any case, he did not want to dig up another thread and just comment on a new one. I think.

Haebbie, that is an interesting knife. What are the scales made of. It is hard to tell from the photo.

DocT, the scales are made of corian. The knife is an overrun of a special edition for Harley Davidson. The original knife was sold with an etched blade. The overrun without any etching was sold in Germany by Herbertz. Hard to find in the USA not only because of the missing second dash.

Haebbie, for me the knife is better without the etching.

This is most of my early 110's I have added a few more to the family.

This one was my first two liner to start the family.

The early style of 110 sheaths to go along with some of my early 110's.

If you keep your eyes open there is no telling what you might find out there. Some of these where found in junk knife bins or baskets, the one line version was found at a gun show and was picked up at a very decent price. I was almost afraid to ask for the price of it at the time. HL

Thanks for posting, everyone.
I always enjoy seeing the various Bucks, here!
(I've posted on the "other" forum an early 102 Woodsman that I have set aside for me. Once I bring it home, I hope to add it some Sunday soon.)

Thank you MaxCast I have been fortunate at times to find that many different variations without going overboard on the price. I find that the hunt is some times more fun at times. HL

All great looking Buck 110 knives! Are the inverted 3-line knives more difficult to find than the 2-line 110's? If so, why?

I had said I would post photo's of my 110 single dash square frame when I got it, well better late then never I guess. This should have been long after the square frame so it must have been an early reblade.

Thank Dave T

I just got a little giddy-up of my heart. I have a Version 1 Variation 1 and saw the buck name on the left side of the knife displayed by Stumps but scrolling down further I see two knives that have the horizontal buck on the right side. Mine was signed by Chuck Buck in 2002 so that makes me feel a whole lot better that he had his hands on my knife and it is the real deal. I also have a COA.

I also have a Version 1 Variation 2 that has a stamp of "BUCK" to be seen ever so slightly on the right side of the blade. I will post on the SPS on Nov. 13. Thank you very much.
