Hey guys, while I am waiting for more Boss Hog's Ganzaa picture.....and seems nothing is happening, hope you don't mind to chat with me a bit.

I was trying to prepare myself for ganzaaa, so I take a look at my CC "space"

 ....with   !!! I hv over $3,000+++ from buying Busse blade here and there...Really scared me....INFI ADDITION~

So, I am looking for something to let go~, so I go over to the exchange....A lotta Busse are actually NOT SOLD even they are already at INSANE price! (i mean low here) a FBM LE $727 got no takers, FSH lower $600 no takers, a lotta AD, MS are in killer price...not sold! I remember when GW LE was introduced, the little thing is $325 and went like crazy~

I look over all my FBMs...Should I bite the bullet and keep them longer. Is not like I know which to let go~~~.....but there is so much I can do....

and ganzaaaaaa:eek:

:(

I threw a knife on there, not really expecting it to go so quick before the ganzaa, but I got lucky. I think it's just a matter of throwing up something interesting right now. I see a lot of dumpster mutts and muddy meaners and AD's.

Hi Wu,

You are pretty much in the same boat as everyone else, which is why you see people selling their Busse's (and some guns in my case) to pay the CC bills, while others just don't have the extra cash to buy them or are saving their money for the Ganzaa or the ASH-1 which everyone will surely stock up on.

If you can afford to, hold onto them for now, unless you have something that people just can't resist like a Satin SFNO with Mags, or a HOGFSHLE you're not going to get top dollar this soon after Blade and right before a Ganzaa.

Greg

No one's selling anything that hasn't been for sale in the past 3 months. If they wanted something they've had the chance to buy it.
Try putting an an Ergo or older knife up for sale.
It'll go.
The market fluctuates, sometimes pretty quick.
I have faith though!
If you don't believe me, see what the SHBM goes for. (on that auction site.)

Greg, its scary....I never told you this, but how do you know what I am looking for

To add...ADLE, FSHLE (the original), then I think I'll be set for busse.....then there is 2ndary list WB Tan/SS, HR/SS....oh, I need tome olddy too, like PD/SS, SHBMLE,......man, list sure goes on

Everone has seen the Ganza pics buddy Wu

What you think there saving for:D

Not to mention the miliganza, Blade and BATAC LE's that are hitting the CC's.
I'm feeling your CC pains also.

Heck, put one of your satin/snakes on there and see how long it last...haven't seen the ones I'm looking for on there. If I did someone would prob just beat me to it.

I tried selling my CGFBM at under my cost, no takers, tough time I guess with Blade, ganzaa's etc. I decided not to take the loss and hang on to her for now.

Hahahaha, you will see my Satin Snakes go when I give up collecting Busse, which is NOT LIKELY :D :D :D

I do hv a few few custom katanas.....modern world might not need a samurai

Slow selling locally in Aussie also.
Would like some of what is on offer on the exchange right now, especially since so many of you guys opened up to international, but right now can't afford myself.
Better times ahead surely. Cheers

I think this is very true. FMBs, GW, ADs, Badges, AKs have been for sale by Busse and still are so I would expect them to not move real fast.

Also consider that sales forum is spilt and your knives are exposed to a very small group as compared to before. (Sorry to those that love the Busse Sales forum but this is just a fact.)

Just wait until they stop making FMBs and I bet you'll see the usual price increase. Wardens are another story. I don't know if Busse wil ever stop making them. :D

Thank God I'm going camping. The ganzaa would kill me right now. I was just told my current job will end in 2 weeks, and Drs. are pressing me to move forward with surgeries. No health insurance and $10,000 worth of procedures to start with. :barf:

I need INFI body parts. ;) :D

I look at selling like fishing. You just have to know where and when to drop the bait. Right now the river is just too muddy.;)

I agree, but if one of you hogs had a Meaner 07 LE,or a MOASH,i'm sure we could work something out!!!

1. Economy tightening
2. Busse is really bringing it lately (increasing supply)
3. Global warming

I would like to start a collection up again but the money right now for me at least, is really tight. I look at the sale threads and drool because I wish I had the money for some of those pieces.

First, I have spent a LOT in the last month or two (and I assume other people have too), so that many people are tapped out. Blade was quite an expensive trip for those who went, and even though I didn't, I bought several knives online from Scrap Yard, Swamp Rat, and the Busse Company Store.

Second, but strongly related the first, is that folks spent a lot because a lot has been available (at issue price). I've seen a lot of folks trying to sell Milliganzaa ADs on the exchange for $250+, but since I picked up 4 muddy ADs for $187 each just last week, those after-market prices aren't attractive to me. FBM LEs were up on the store recently, as have several FFFBM models. Personally, I've avoided Game Wardens because I think that market is already saturated.

Why do "collectibles" appreciate in value -- for one reason, and only one reason: because people are willing to pay that much. JohnTheTexican has it absolutely right -- Beanie Babies, baseball cards, Magic the Gathering, comic books, etc. prices all went through the roof until people demanded that the supply increase, then there was a speculative investment period, but eventually increased supply simply outpaced demand and those markets collapsed.

There are a lot of reasons that collectors turn away. When things become common enough, many collectors loose interest. I also think that some become disillusioned by a high secondary market premium, while others simply decide that they've got enough: how many boxes of cards does somebody have to buy before they decide that they're not enjoying collecting so much as just trying to keep pace, or how many Beanie Babies can one buy and display, knowing that every month 10 new ones will be released.

I hope that this doesn't happen with Busse knives, but it's a possibility if the market gets flooded. From the number of Milliganzaa blades that I saw hit the Exchange as soon as people reported that they had just been shipped on the boards, I think that we're already in a "speculative phase". People ask for increased production, but that can easily turn into a "be careful what you wish for" situation. In general, the best advice (although I don't usually follow it myself) is to just buy what you like with the intent to use and keep it; if you do that, then you can be happy no matter what happens to the market, but if you're buying as an investment then you should recognize that you may win, but you also may loose.

It's a ganzaa thing. Plus Blade just passed. People are recouping or getting ready for the blood bath forth coming. I have had the same problem. I will just hang on to what I want to sell until the market picks up. I say hold steady at your lowest price because either way whoever buys the INFI gets a damn good knife.

I never thought you hv such problem cuz I was drool with all your Nuke SH collection

I wish to just hold one, but you got like....more than six!!!
Now I know there are blood & tears behind such collection. Thank You ;)
