Hard to sell these days?

Consider this too Wu, the nice thing about placing something on the boards is that you can price it as you want and forget it. Nothing says you have to price it so that it sells right away. Heck you never know what will happen. Bump it once every 72 hours, once a week, once a month whatever. Not like you are out a listing fee. Ganza is coming, Blade just hit our CCs, some have knives in the pipe from the past and supply does seem to be up now. There will come a dry spell and things will sell.

There is a knife for sale that I swore that I would have some day, the last two times it sold. However, with a Ganzaaaa pending, I just can't pull the trigger on it right now.

All markets are cyclical, the Busse market is no different.

Right now secondary market items may be selling a little slow, but I've seen this before, it has always come back and it usually comes back stronger.

:D:D

I hope that I didn't start this speculation, LOL, I noticed this thread last night very soon after I decided to close my FS thread. I can't complain, really, as my first set of items listed sold out in a day. Since the items left in my 2nd thread weren't selling, and the title still mentioned the Mojo Variant that got traded, I figured why not pull it, and just start one thread like Porkgunner, and just use it for future listings... I'm in the process of changing the direction of my collection to more Custom Shop items and less production, so some stuff will need to go later. I figure after the Ganzaaaa emails have gone out, things will pick up on the Exchange again, and then I'll re-list and add more. Gotta make room! :)

BTW, good luck to y'all with the BloodBathaGanzaaaa!

On the cigar boards, it's called Order DisOrder, or ODO.

"Guys - more FFBM's are on BCS - HURRY!!!!!!" and twenty-two guys that already have SIX of them buy them. . . then come to their senses. Same with Milganza stuff and the various recent-vintage GW's.

Many heavy-hitters ARE broke from Blade. At least I hope so. Give me some breathin room on Saturday.

So the moral of the story is to have patience. In both selling AND buying. Don't get deceived by Jaxx's 27 Skels or someone else's 6 pair of Milganza's. Buy what you think you'll need and wait for the next blade on the exchange or on the home/BCS site.

And sellers - like Progunner said - just wait your time. I figure there may be a flood of buyers on Mon/Tue when people find out what they DIDN'T get at the Ganza. Rebound purchases, baby!

Oh great, more competition for me. ;) Just what I needed :p

My selling has come from the extended time to move due to the "Noah" incident.

We went to the memorial service for my wife's grandmother (94) a little over a couple of weeks ago. They dropped me back off in Indy and headed home to St. Louis. As she walked inside, she heard a gushing sound. Never, ever a good thing.

The supply hose to the washer had split. The failure was at the very top of the supply hose, so it sprayed water through the door and across the hall into the office, dousing the desktop pc and big lcd. Since the water was shot OUT of the room, there was an opportunity for the lower level to accumulate a lot of water (4 - 5 inches) before the drain could effectively take over in the laundry room. Not too mention, the drain was a little overwhelmed by the volume.

All in all, tile, carpet and sheet rock are being replaced in the den, office, 3rd bath, laundry and storage. Yep, I've got homeowners insurance **but** this means the house is effectively off the market for 6-8 weeks during prime selling time.

So... financially maintaining households in two different states, on my single income, is drawing out longer than I had planned. No fiscal crisis yet, but the amount set aside for this move is dwindling. Thusly, my personal "moving-ganza."

I've listed four in about a week and a half. The first two sold within a day or two. The next, I posted yesterday, I have an offer from but with Paypal and I need to do USPS MO - and the last I posted minutes ago. The last, a DM, may sit there a while but I've got time. The first three were Custom Shop pieces. The longer I am living away from the lovely wife and hose-monkeys, the more INFI you may see from me. :o

Sell some things at the price 2 years ago and I'll get out my check book LMAO :D

Porker(Kitty thread hater)son is correct. We have seen droughts and heavy floods. I like the floods cause everyone is trying to sell cheaper than the other guy :D  :p

Whew. Jaxx is going for toothy ones. I just like the cool handled ones. HANDS OFF!

Um... Yeah, that's it... (Keep 'em looking at your right hand, while the LEFT hand snags them ALL...!) ;) :p You're in the clear, I hate cool handled Busse's... So take your time, relax... LOL

Just Hang on to the knives till they are out of poduction a few years and selling then perks right up.

When Buying, get them from the Company Store or the company, as this will generally save a few $$

Remember to make sure a picture or two of the knife that you are interested in Selling has made it onto the forum, and/or that there was a "Want to Buy" listed, these all lead to selling Happiness.
