Hard use EDC folder?

I agree with saving a bit more and going with the ZT (or try to find one on the exchange).

Also, take a look at the CRKT Foresight. It seems to check most of the boxes for what you're looking for and you can find them for around $70. It's got an AUS8 blade so it might need to be sharpened a little more often than s30v. With the IKBS ball bearing pivot it flips / fires out with ease.

The CRKT No Time Off is also worth considering but the blade is a but smaller than what you want.

Hope that helps.

The manix 2 is not a bad knife! If you get the LW, just remember you can't take it apart. I would go with the G10 Manix 2, not the LW.

I will agree with some others saying Manix 2 but I will add G10 saber grind for an overall tougher version of that knife. Also the ZT 0350 is a great drop point workhorse if you really want assisted opening.

...couple of months ago bought a one off custom manual from Rob Dalton. Komodo 5 inch blade, green G-10 with carbon fiber bolsters. Partially serrated. Stainless frame, pins, & clip. Thumb stud flips open lightning fast. Liner lock with zero play! Using as edc and still evaluating for that application. Might be a little larger knife than you're seeking, but so far extremely pleased.

You know, I just spent a week in northern Minnesota doing the traditional family cabin/lake/fishing thing, and all i had was a Boker Urban Trapper stuck the back pocket of my cargo shorts all week, and I think I just found my every day, all day carry.

I helped the grandkids with fishing. It's thin and light enough to handle a little fish cleaning.

I fixed breakfast and lunch. Its perfect for for prep, being about the same size as a kitchen paring knife.

It's super slim and light, yet very sharp and quick to flick into any reasonable task. I've found that i grow weary of big real estae being consumed In my pocket by a knife that's used to just cut things. For $60-80, it's certainly worth a look.

Kizlyar Supreme Ute

Not s30v, but good 440c, and a thick sturdy blade, thick liners, robust g10 handle that fills your hand, and built in prytool to save your tip from unnecessary damage in the event prying is required.

And certainly at the right price.

Even though it doesn't check all your boxes, another vote for the Recon 1

I doubt you'll be disappointed

I would vote for cold steel folders as well but since it doesnt match any of your criteria I would say a blur is your best bet, S30v or Elmax version.

Or this if you would bump up the price range.

Cold Steel American Lawman...

One-hand opening and can be closed one-handed too, but...its not assisted or a flipper.

ZT 550 is exactly what you describe. Bar none a heavy use knife. look for YouTube videos from vinnul. $125.00 is a great price for an amazing blade. I sold one a few year back got aa

Mini Barrage. I haven't scanned your requirements carefully, but I think this one meets a lot of them.

Ontario Rat I in D2 steel fits some of your criteria

Just what I was thinking. A good bargain.

Also look at Cold Steel. The Ultimate Hunter is one of the best knives mentioned in this thread. The American Lawman is also an awesome hard use edc.
