Hard Use/Fixed-Blade Production Faves?

Busse Fusion Steel Heart
Swamp Rat Ratweiler
Becker BK-7

Lots out there, but the ones in my rotation are:

Swamp rat battlerat
Swamp rat camp tramp
Ontario TAK
Swamp rat Bandicoot
Just got, Fallkniven F1

Also had good experiances with Ontario RAT7, BK7, Ranger RD7 and cold steel recon scout and SRK.

Noticing that lots and lots of folks like the Becker BK-7 (not only on this thread).

Including me.;)

Entrek Badger. I've carried one pinned to my hunting vest for years (I keep cracking my rifle butt on a belt knife handle). Once you get used to the thick blade, it cuts, skins, digs, chops and holds an edge. It's not my first choice for peeling potatoes in camp, but with a little practice, works pretty well. Great handle, good balance.
I just picked up a Fallkniven F1. Seems like it could be handier for camp chores and cleaning game. Totally different knife. But for the time being, the Badger will stay on the vest.

I'm stunned some of these knives get used, if I had a Busse or a swamp Rat I would bow down and worship it!!!!

Naw, you don't want to do that. They lose respect for you.

As Dr. Thor says,'Beat them like a rented Donkey.', then they will bow down and worship YOU! And love every minute of it.

My fave is an older Busse SHBA that has not left my belt since last Nov. Before that, it was in rotation with a Mean Street and Active Duty. After Wilma, it just sort of stayed.

The big 3 for me are the Ka-bar usmc,Tom Brown tracker and the Fallkniven F1.They are the 3 that I cary into the woods with me and have never let me down yet.
Example:I went for a hike into some back country that was still covered in ice the other day.I brought the Tracker and my F1.I lost my footing on a steep hill and began to slide.I used my tracker to stop by stabbing the ice/frozen ground.I still slid for a few feet before stopping. All that happened to the blade was a new scratch and some mud.Truth be told the knife did better than me I'm still hurting a few days later.

I am suprised no else put it already. I just can not pay $200 for a knife, and that Kabar has been around for almost 20 years now. Would LOVE a big camp knife like that Camp Tramp however!

Limiting it to favorites I've got, not that I want::)

Old standby, CS Light kukri
All around field knife, PCC (pre- BM) Kuzan Oda tanto
Field mule to beat, Ontario Pec Plus 9" Survival Bowie
Funkiest tough, tough knife, BM Juju
Lightweight, BM Gamer
New toy, Kershaw Outcast

I guess I'm just not one of the cool kids. :D

I agree about the Kabars. I'm quite content to one of them. I have an Ontario version with a rubberized handle that actually feels good to me. Great sheath, durable steel and a solid handle. Don't mind tossing it at anything either. Only 35$ at my local camping store, not difficult to replace. I have one now, plan on picking up another sometime soon.

Ontario 18 inch military machete

BRKT woodland special

BK/T 9 combat bowie

HI kukris

Busse basic 3

Here are my hard use knives
I am carrying the SJTac right now.

I'd like to sencond the nomination of the Buck 119. The beautiful thing about them is that you can destroy them without concern because they are cheap yet the steel is sufficient to be useful.

I agree with the RD series. I beat the heck out of my RD6 and it just smirks at me. A lot of bang for the buck. And Justin will customize his knives to your order.
