I know I'm coming in late, but I did notice that early in the thread a question was asked regarding the Griptilians. I own a bunch of "Grippies" and find them to be an excellent user knife. In fact, although I normally carry a Sebenza in my right front pocket, I also usually carry one of my Griptilians (550S or 556) in my fanny pack as a back-up. These knives are not only excellent value, but I love the 440-C that Benchmade uses. It resists corrosion very well, takes and holds a good edge, and resharpens very easily. And the edges on the Grippies come frighteningly sharp, among the sharpest of any production knife.

The fact that they use the Axis lock is added security, and they operate very smoothly. The larger version is fairly thick, but both sizes will not slip from your hand at all during use.
